you can still wear them, ripped tights look awesome!

just use Mod Podge or clear nail varnish on the runs to make sure they don't ladder any more.

I've seen flesh coloured tights stretched over white fabric to make the body parts of little ragdolls Smiley

you could always use them as filters for....something.  or fill them with lavender and make little sachets.
i agree with poorandweird (excellent name bee tee dubya), you could totally still wear them.  layer them up so you can see the colors through the holes.

Danke danke. I'd love some laddered-up tights to wear but any attempt i make looks stupidly deliberate... guess i'll have to do it the old fashioned way...

*dons pair of tights and runs through prickly hedge then gets a cat to attack legs*

make little bracelet.
I do this all the time. I cut the toes and at the crotch area out. I then cut the middle into long strands about 1 inch long. They you take those pieces and either braid them, make a crochet strand, or friendship bracelet. Smiley

I made a mic screen for recording vocals from a stocking and a wire hanger.. Probably wouldn't need that sort of thing. But if it interests you I'll do a tute!

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but if you are particularly fond of the color or texture of them, you can cut a section from the leg to make a tube and slip it over a flower pot for a decorative "cozie"...I guess you could probably slip it over ANY container...go ahead, dress up your 2liter soda bottles!

You could use wire and stretch the nylon over and craft them into butterflies or wings.
