Does anyone have a recipe for massage oil candles?  I love the idea of them and it would be nice Wink

Are these the soy (or something) candles that you use the hot wax as massage oil? I remember a vague conversation about these on some yahoo group a while back. Sounds neat, I wonder if you have to find some kind of moisturizing wax that melts at a low temp so it doesn't burn the skin?

ohh .. they had some of those at a local fair .. the guy said they were soy, but I don't remember much more than that.  He did blow out the flame before actually dipping into the wax ...

Yeah I think they are soy candles but they are hard to find and I wanted to try making them.

No recipe BUT if you look up skinny dip candles on the net they list some of the things they put in them...might give you a starting point...esp if you know about candles and massage creams already?  Worth a try!

If you do end up experimenting to try and make these candles make sure to be careful about using the correct scents and colorants. These products are kind of hybrids between cosmetics and candles, both of which usually use totally different products to fragrance and color oil and wax. Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for these, but I have heard that finding colorants and fragrances that are both skin safe and candle safe can be really tricky. Good luck! If I find any more info I will come back and post for you.
