I saw your tank on the other knitalong and it inspired me to swatch. Which I never do. I'm all worried I won't have enough yarn, so I devised a way to knit and block my swatch without ever snipping the yarn off the ball. lol.

Anyway, sooo pretty!

I made it past the ribbing today and am back to miles and miles of stockinette. I'm still not able to post pictures, but here's a link to the kal blog where the pic is posted.
YAY!
I'm on the lookout for a chocolate brown ribbon.

Here's the latest from me. Pic taken at work with camera phone (was working on during my lunch break), so it's not the greatest quality.

I just got to the front and back split, I went and sat out on my patio and tried to get a tan on my legs while knitting away, and I made it... I just left the front stitches on the circulars and started knitting the back with some 6 straights, so I dont have to take off and put stitches back on the needles like it says to

I still have no idea what color ribbon to use, Ive seen a lot of chocolate brown which is great, I plan to take it to the store and hold some different colors up to it to see what I like best, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :0)

I'm planning on buying a few different ribbons - you could tie the different coloured ribbon to the end of the other one, pull it through, and have a selection of colours, depending on mood and outfit!

This makes for great tv knitting! Although I did most of this in the car...

I was trying for a soft terra cotta color, but as it turns out, the color is ungodly orange (especially in direct sunlight).  Has anyone ever tried overdying after the garment is all knit up?

I love the color in the pic, but I know pictures can be misleading when it comes to colors. That's ok, though. I was going for a light green and mine is quite...bright also.

One inch left of stockinette and then I'm starting on shaping the armholes Smiley

I've finished the back and half of the front. Rather than join a new ball of yarn, I just did one side of the front at a time. So half of that is done. I had to pull it out and redo some of the whipstitching in the front -- I was watching TV instead of paying attention to what I was doing and my line of whipstitching started to slope downward. So, rather than obsess over that FOREVER, I just fixed it and am much happier with it although now I have more ends to weave in.
Tomorrow night is my SnB and I'm going to pick up some ribbon and beads and hopefully finish it in the next day or two.
I'll post pics when I take an updated one. I'm really pleased with it so far!
(And I LOVE the orange!)
