I just realized I never posted my finished tunic on here...weird

Well I finished my Summertime Tunic around the beginning of July.  It ended up very big and I tried 3 times to shrink it but not much of a difference, I really like it Im just bummed its so big around the bottom, I may give it to my mom, but I cant decide cuz its so cute, Im not set on a ribbon yet either, I just chose this one so I could try it on, its a little rough, Id like something more smooth on my skin

Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cathay in Teal
Needles: circular 4 and 6
Mods: I casted on a number between the 33 and 36 inch size, I cant remember how much, I have it written down somewhere Im not sure of right now, Other than that I followed the rest of the instructions, except knitting the back on straights, so I didn't have to move stitches around

Here are some pix..enjoy!

That looks really cute. Maybe you could make another in a smaller size. Then you and your mom could both have one.

Thats super cute! I'm seriously considering thinking about making this. I had decided against it, but seeing yours makes me want to knit one of my own.

Well, I finally finished my tunic. It's a bit...large. I went for the "small" instead of "extra small" but I think that was a mistake. It's blocking right now, so maybe that will help.

Here's a pic of it still wet from blocking. I'll get an action pic tonight.

It seems that the sizing on this runs a bit large. Has anyone figured out the difference between their measurements and the finished garment?  I know I will want to go smaller when I knit this since I hate loose fitting tops but since everyone's seems to be coming out a bit too big i'm wondering whether I should go down even further.

I'm having the same worry - I'm trying to decide whether it's worth threading a piece of yarn through, taking it off the circs and trying it on...

I would say yes! It's a pain in the butt, but I wish I'd done it.

I also made the small and wish I had done the X-Small. I am not sure that it is a matter of the sizing running large though. I should have studied the picture more closely because it really isn't very fitted. Still need a ribbon for mine.
