my friend helped me make this diorama for my dad last year for father's day. i've never seen him so happy in my entire life- i'm not exaggerating in the least, i swear.

that's my living room right now. (my sister just moved back home so we've got a lot of junk in there.) it hasn't changed much since then. the chair was moved to the side. my fireplace mantel is a complete jungle of crafts, nicknack's, &  yard sale junk.

that's the diorama we made with little materials & an even littler (?) amount of time. i've got to give most of the credit to my friend though, considering she did practically the whole thing while i looked for pictures of my dog & dad.

then for his birthday i made him a doll of himself. i made it in the car in 30 minutes for he loves it almost as much as the diorama. it's basically just the way i made dolls when i was a little kid, except i used to draw the faces in.

the only reason i was going to post those in the first place was to see if anyone had another cute idea for mother's day (for my dad-he's pretty much both). i started a painting but i'd like to give him something that he'll enjoy as much as the doll & the diorama.

haha no, but a lot of people have asked me that. it was just this little piece of white faux fur that i colored in to look like his.

That's a great job!  For Mother's day you should be wearing a shirt with his face on it when you give him the gift.  Or you could get your whole family some hats that says "team______" with your last name or your dad's name, and a picture of him on it. As for a gift for him, I don't know, but i'm sure he'll love it.  Bake him some cookies?
