This is the second pixie hat I have completed from Knit Wit. This one I embellished with roses I made using the pattern from Knit 1. Hope you like it  Roll Eyes

I would really like to see it but it says I need to be a member  Sad
Have you made the Coif? I wonder what it looks like on. I have short hair and so hats look dumb on me..this may be an alternative!

Those knitted flowers are so great! I might have to buy Knit.1 just for that pattern...

Very nicely done!

Oh MY gawd. That is SO CUTE. I am in love. Does anyone know of a place online that I can skim through the patterns (pictures of the completed projects rather) of the Knit Wit book?

Oh, Tere, I have the short hair/dumb hat problem myself! What is this "coif"? A project in KnitWit?

Doesn't it just kill you that there are so many cute hat projects that we can't take advantage of?!

Actually the coif pattern is available on knitty. The pixie hat is only in the book. A lot of the patterns in the book are on knitty, which is kind of a disappointment, but, the 2 pixie hats I have made so far are worth the price of the book.

is it seed stitch the whole way through? or just on the edges? that confused me so much(i am very much a beginner)! despite being somewhat baffled, i managed to make that same hat in black and yellow stripes so i could be a bee for halloween, maybe one of these days i'll get around to posting...

yours is way too awesome, i was was planning to make another in the same off white color as you did as well as adding pompoms- get out of my head!!!!...i hope you dont live in the bay area Wink

Great hat!  I love the addition of the flowers.  I like the colors you used.

Now I'm going to have to get a Knit1 magazine.  I've already asked for Knit Wit for Christmas.

I see the pics now and
love it!! The picture in knit wit doesn't show it off well--yours looks awsome!
Gertie, I know  Angry it sucks. But you know what I wear  hats anyway! Who cares what they say! And projects like this are great because they allow a bit more head/hair to show. The coif is quite similar but not so "hood-ish". The pattern is available on knitty.com (I just realized this after buying the book, but o well...Good luck.

Actually, I am peeking in your windows Smiley

There is only seed stitch for the first inch around the face and along the bottom edge. Good idea with the bee thing, the point looks like a stinger!
