I received my package from heini today, and she really wowed me. She made me a crochet hook roll that is gorgeous! It's quilted and beaded, with hand-stitched details... it is really beautiful. And sent some Finnish candy, too - yummy looking chocolates that I've never seen before, and a really interesting jelly candy, a little like turkish delight. On to the pictures!

The whole swap package (plus some of my crochet hooks, minus about half of the candy!)

And a close-up of the stitching on the crochet hook roll:

This picture really doesn't do justice to heini's work, there's so much stitching and beading that didn't show up, you'll have to trust me that it is beautiful in real life!

Thank you so much heini, I love everything! Cheesy

I totally forgot the whole gallery deal...duh my brain has not been working lately. Well I got a tote bag from _Suicidal_Angel_ that I know my nephew (2 y/o) is going to fight me for ... intrigued? I'll post pics shortly.

I've read about Turkish delight from Narnia books, but I've never eaten them. Now I have some idea what they're like.

Glad to hear that you like the crochet hook roll, because I didn't like it so much. There's nothing wrong with it, I just didn't like the colour. I was thinking that maybe I should make a new one, but then I told myself couple of times "she likes bright colours and her favourite colour is blue, this must be good for her" and sent it.

I got present from RedMenace on Tuesday, and here's what I got. A bunch of recipe cards, I tried one curry recipe yesterday and it was delicious. There was also a tape measure with inches (I needed one because I use inches in quilting) and a beautiful card. Thanks again!

I received from Steen!!

My crocheted veggies!!:

and my Marshall with 3 of the 4 toys that he is supposed to be sharing with his brother (I made the mistake of letting them see the toys before i took pictures, and I can't find the other crocheted mouse because my boys put them in weird places such as the water bowl, the sink, my bed...)

Here are some pics of my awesome package from alteredmommy.

She generously made me several things with Buddha on them and included a few delicious treats as well.

Here are a few close-ups:

This is my new rockin' Buddha alter/shrine.  It's made from a buddha perfume bottle, paint, gesso, bookpages, distressing ink, joss paper and handmade Thai paper.

Here is a close-up of the really cool bottlecap/resin Buddha magnets.  They look perfect.

My very first ATC.  I think I am addicted.  I absolutely love and and have to figure out how to start collecting more.  She also sent me really awesome cards with quotes on them.

And some treats...These are Clodhoppers.  They are really delicious and I think I may have to start importing these from Canada.  They are made by a friend of a friend of alteredmommy.

And a pure maple lollipop.  Can't wait to try it.

Is this all wonderful or what?  What can I say but thank you, thank you, thank you?

A proper thank you will go out by mail.

Thanks, alteredmommy!

I made this package for SakanaSea. She had asked for a voodoo doll and a t-shirt so i gave her this.

I received my ATC holder and surprise from Sarahdipity85!

Here is the holder. Its teal and has paper flowers on the front.

It has a button toggle closure on the back.

She also sent me some gift tags and some ballerina charms to use on ATCs.

THANK YOU! Grin
