Hey all!

I have FINALLY finished a bag I've been working on for a while. After finding a pretty interesting handbag challenge on this blog: http://iwannanewbag.blogspot.com/ .  I didn't really have a vintage tea towel that would make sense as a bag, so I cut one up and used it for the word bubble applique.

The bubble reads:
Never, while at the table, (whether in public or private,) allow yourself to talk on painful or disgusting subjects.  Avoid all discussions of sicknesses, sores, surgical operations, dreadful accidents, shocking cruelties, or horrible punishments.  A love of such topics, envices a coarse and unfeminine mind. It is rude in gentlemen at any time to introduce them before ladies; and a polished man never does so.  The conversation at table should be as cheerful and pleasant as possible.  Political and sectarian controversies ought to have no place there.  Shakespeare truly says, "Unquiet meals make ill digestion."

Without further ado, here she is:

I'm so so happy that's it's finally finished.  It's certainly not a perfect piece, but it's always encouraging when you finish up a big project.

Comments always appreciated!

I love this. Like, really really love it. The quote, the color, the embroidery, everything. Love it. Seriously.
