lightupmyroom received my package so I thought I'd post some of what I sent.
She wisted this hat: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=27935.msg233035#msg233035
Here's my version:

and this elephant: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=115161.0
My version:

I also made a pendant but forgot to take a picture.

the people who made the originals of what I tried to copy make some amazing stuff, you should definitely check it out.

This was a really fun swap,  I can't wait to see what I get!

Since Edel has received her package and won't have her pics up for a while, she asked me if I would post some.  And of course I most certainly will!

The horned hat with my favorite model:

A close up of the bracelet:

I was trying to make this bracelet: http://cache.wists.com/thumbnails/2/d7/2d7010b0cd59f20eed9786d3ad2e1b93-orig
but we won't talk of my difficulties with 18 gauge wire... Tongue
And a picture of the fabric:

I wish that I had taken a pic of the picture my DD drew for Edel.  DD kept asking me what I was doing, and I would say "making a present for my friend", and she said "I will draw a picture for your friend and it will make her happy".  So I'm thrilled that the package arrived on a day that you needed some sunshine.  I'm glad that you like everything, I had a great time crafting for you Edel!  Smiley

I finally remembered to get batteries while I was at the store tonight, so here are the long overdue pictures of the amazingness that chimerix sent me. Smiley

There was a totally kick ass zombie messenger bag, two sets of cute hair clips, adorable PJ pants, and a can of very tasty (and long gone) dry roasted macadamia nuts. I was TOTALLY spoiled!

Everything together:

Close-ups of the hair clips:

And a close-up of my most favoritest thing I've EVER received in a swap:

wobblerat thank you so much for posting pix, life is insane at the moment! and I have to say your daughter looks better in the hat than I do, but she's not getting it!! you will have to make her one, its currently on the bedpost of my bed becuase it brings a smile to my face,

and your traumas with the 18 guage wire notwithstanding, it got a LOT of compliments at work yesterday, in fact it got a lot of compliments as its really good work,

I plan on making myself a couple of purses out of the fabric and a wallet as I need a new one (my BF bought me my old one and I dont need to put that in my pocket every day and be reminded of him!)

this swap is so cool for a number of reasons, not least of which is fabulous stuff in the mail! but since I got that stuff from someone whom I didnt make anything for, I now want to send something to the person who did craft for me, and the beauty of this swap is that the wists are there for all to see, so once I get through crafting for superhooker I plan on sending something to wobblerat, becuase I dont know about you guys but I get so much joy out of crafting for others and its a real thrill when they like it!

so where did the wists posts go....hmmm

I think this is a brilliant idea.  I know there were some super cute things on Igobylorib's wist too.  Anyone else up for a reverse wist assist swap?
