I looked on here for ideas already posted and I barelly found anything, it was mostly about things which were made with just the records. I have a few records but won't get a chance to listen to them (I bought them to add to my collection of peter pan and grease things) so I was wondering if anyone had ideas of what I could make with my ultra-cool record covers!

-thank you!  Cheesy

You could make a photo album or a cd case... both would follow these general directions:

a friend of mine made sort of a wall display thing with her records. She hung the records and the covers on her wall alternately. It looks uber kool.

Oh I really like both of them!  For the first one that is such an awesome idea I may try it, thanks!  For the second reply I was actually thinking of doing that but I've got such a teeny room and tons on my walls already, but thanks alot for the suggestion

This isn't crafty at all, but I made some of the record bowls and had the jackets left over...

We have a big ol' metal filing cabinet, the drawers are 12x12, the perfect size to use the record jackets as file folders.

I wrote what's in them on sticker lables and saved the landfill from the Foreigner and the Police.  I can't stand to throw stuff away.  My husband says I would reuse the plastic wrappers from CDs if I found a way.

I made boxes out of mine and posted them here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=14431.60#msg41150  (the only post with pictures on page 5..kind of in the middle)

I actually use them quite a bit, they are really awesome to have around.

*edited to include a link that shows you the basic idea of how to make record cover boxes. http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/cardbox1.html  its the same idea except i made the parts that get folded up alot bigger (like 2-3 inches)*

When I made record bowls, I had the same dilemma...so what I did was punch holes in the corners with a hole punch and connected them with these ring things you can get at Wal-Mart or Staples.  Then I hung them on my wall!  They look awesome and I get tons of compliments on them!  The photos are of the whole thing and a close up of the connecting rings.  Good luck with your project!  ^_^
