Hey Tucson area craftsters!

So, news news. I got a part-time job with a crafty tv show "The Creative Life" with Cheryl Fall, on PBS. They wanted me because I'm oh-so-involved in the online crafty scene.  I have been helping them get a weblog set up for the host! (I think blogs are the way to my heart, personally). I've also been helping them go in the direction of creating a forum on their site so they can foster a little online community.

Anyway, the show started this June (2004) and has slowly been picked up by more and more PBS stations.  Currently, your local PBS affiliate, KUAT, doesn't carry the show.

If you are interested in getting the show, email KUAT's programming director to ask them to pick it up.

KUAT Feedback

Also, if you have any feedback about the show, I will pass it on to the producers!  They want to hear what their 20, 30, and 40-something crafters have to say.

Some great holiday shows are coming up.

More about the show:

"The Creative Life" (http://www.creativelife.tv/) is your new one-stop
show for step-by-step how-to segments and tips and techniques for creating
unique items for the home. From decorative painting to building, gardening
to cooking, sewing to home decor and everything in between, host Cheryl Fall
does it all, and takes you on location as she explores every nook and cranny
of The Creative Life.

The Tempe public television (KAET) station is considering carrying the show.  If you'd like to email the programming director, here's the email address:  kaet@asu.edu

That would be funny.  What would your glitter-covered picketing sign say?  Cheesy

Glitter???  I am more of a sequins girl, myself...... Wink  My sign would read

"Give Me Craft or Give Me Death"

And then I would hope given the number of people with concealed weapon's permits in this state that no one shot me!

Sequins do rock hard, and aren't as messy.  Rhinestones are good, too.

Rhinestones are great!

Is this your show?  If so can you tell me more about it?  If not tell, feel free to tell me about it anyway.  Thanks!

It's not my show, but I work for them.

It's a show on PBS, and it's a craft show aimed at everyone.  I think it's the kind of show that is great for people who aren't confident in their craftiness.  The projects are cute, and yet simple enough for pretty much anyone to do.

Sounds interesting......here's hoping we get it, instead of more re-runs of Chef!
