Hi,

I make wire crocheted necklaces. Does anyone else out there do the same? Do you have any unusual patterns I can try?

Thanks, Kibbi

Those are really pretty - what size hook did you use?

I've made wire bracelets before and I use chunky beads and a size K hook. I make three beaded chains and then braid them together.

That's what I do but use  a G hook.

Those are lovely.  You picked great color combinations.    What size wire do you use?

I use 28ga wire which is great for the crocheting but several times I've ruined pieces at the end when twisting the wire together as is breaks. But I have arthritis in my hands and haven't been successful using  heavier wire.

OMG those are soooooooooo prettyyyyyyyyyyyy!

One question...when you braid them together, do you then attach a clasp of some sort?

I crochet three strands and then braid them together. After that I twist the wires ends together and used claw or an other type of hook on one end and a ring on the other to finish them. I've tried magnetic hooks but haven't had much success with them.
