I got some free dpn's about 2 years ago, and started making my first ever pair of socks about a year and a half ago.

Well, I've finally finished!!  Grin

They're not very much - very basic first sock pattern - and something peculiar happened to the shaping, so if you know anyone with square heels, let me know  Roll Eyes

All said and done, they're lumpy, bumpy, a little bit odd, but they're all MINE! WOOHOO!! (I only ever intented to wear them in the house anyway, so i don't suppose it matters!)

I wouldn't say it's put me off trying socks again, but I never know it would take so long!!

Sorry about the photo quality - I think I have gremlins in my camera!

I love handknit socks, but they are definitely a labor of love for me as well because they take me forever to knit.  I'm always super impressed when sock knitters can churn out socks quickly!  Smiley
