Hello,

Here is a crochet fruit cake, from Tomoko Fujita's "Knit Room".  It was supposed to be a tea cosy, but I added a base to make it a stuffie.  Because what is better than stuffed food?

I used seed beads to add details to the strawberries and the kiwi slices.  The strawberry slices have little bits of stuffing on them to give that white streak in the middle.

I would have entered it into the food challenge -- but the rules state that you need an original pattern.  So I'll post it here instead.

Hope you enjoy!

Tasty! I love, love, love the strawberries. I think I need a copy of this book. How many patterns are in it?

That turned out great!  Love the bead detail.  Almost good enough to eat.

The book is fantastic.  There are about ten patterns in it, but you could combine them to make new ones pretty easily.

I love your cake!   Cheesy  I have that book as well.  What weight yarn did you use for your cake, and did it turn-out the correct size for a tea cozy?  I really want to make the tissue holders in this book, but I can't figure-out yarn weights and mine keep turning-out the wrong size!  I will probably just have to wing it and hope for the best and use the pics in the book as a basic guide...thoughts?
