I've been on Craftster forever, but this is my first real post of something I've made with pictures and everything because I finallyyy got a digital camera.  I didn't use a pattern for this skirt because patterns annoy me and I don't really know how to use them.  I just kind of taught myself how to sew so I haven't learned how to put in zippers or anything so the skirt just slips on. The fabric is from Joann's.

that's so pretty! i love the fabric--i wonder if they have that fabric at my joann's. is the fabric stretchy? or did you have to put in a zipper?

thank youuu.  the fabric has a tiny bit of stretch, so I just kind of squirm into it to be honest.

This is adorable. I read that you didn't use a zipper, did you use elastic?

I have a couple of old things I want to turn into skirts and I am trying to figure out if elastic would work well?

thanks for all the nice comments!  Cheesy
crystalemera: I think an apron in that fabric would be the cutest thing in the worlddd!
southern5footer: I didn't use elastic or a zipper, in fact, I'm always confused about how it stays up, but it just does.  I've used elastic before but it kind of frustrates me because when I use it, it ends up looking really amateur.  Tongue
