Of course, it looks nothing like the critter on Lionbrand.com, where i got the pattern. but i needed something quick to mke for a baby shower that is happening in 2 weeks, and since i'm broke this was perfect!

it took me 2 days to finish... 2 kids and a house to keep up makes for no crochet time. Plus i had no ployfil, so i had to sacrifice an old pillow and take some of its' stuffing. I also butchered an old toy that my son never played with.. it was a plush rabbit with a squeakie thing inside... i put the squeakie inside the ami and now all that is left is to hand it over at the baby shower:)

and to make it a little cuter, here's my sweetpea enjoying the new toy mommy made:)

That frog is going to be a wonderful present.  Did you make the blanket in the background too?

i didn't, actually. my grandmother makes them, and made that specific one for my daughter when she was born:) She uses a loom, and i believe Joann's carries them, at least online... i keep meaning to buy one to make my own but haven't done it yet:)
