Here's my project! Pall Mall cigarette pack, ashtray, cigarette butt and cigarette. All from felt, embroidery thread, poly-fil, and vinyl (shiny foil part on pack). The subject matter was chosen with my passion for irony: I don't smoke or approve of smoking at all! My painting (I'm a painter) style (well subject matter) is pop art. Wink

Here are my models and construction pics
ashtray pieces
embroidry of front or back (who knows?) and the transfer

"foil" top construction from some shiny silver vinyl I had (someone gave me)

This is from the top

and with a cigarette pack and cigarette to show the scale

These were so fun to make, and this is my first craft challenge! Woohoo!

Nice embroidery, and I think the cigarette butt is hilarious for some reason that I can't explain.   Cheesy

No kidding! Those were the subject of a series of paintings I've been doing. I had to get my neighbors to burn up that ashtray for me...lol.  I let them use actual cigs from the multitude of packs I had from those projects...they had like 10 going at one time. I made them do it in their yard, too, so my house wouldn't smell like cig smoke!
Smiley

I'm glad y'all like the butt

me either!!! (not many do!) thus making it perfectly ironic to find this in nice soft felt! As  explained in my original post, I am a pop artist who often uses ironic or sarcastic subject matter. Smiley
Thanks for the compliments!

it's funny to me that the baby in your avatar seems to be reaching for smokes.... Smiley  Great construction on such a politically uncorrect item.
