Thanks DB and RM!! I love "garage sale" darlingbud - so great! And RM - you amaze me how quickly you've picked up spinning and already have such beautiful yarns.

and thanks motleycruiser - I keep swapping these rainbow yarns instead of listing them in etsy! You give me a good idea, and I'll work on it.

RM got to say I'm loving your "favorite things" mixed media yarn!  So awesome!!!  Sadly, while my husband is very understanding about my crafting, my toddler and baby have decided that the spinning wheel being pulled out is an excuse to start fussing immediately   Hope to have something to share soon

Thanks, and Oh boy, can I relate!!!  My 3 yr. old daughter is terribly jealous of all my crafts and my craft friends!

ok. still don't have my pix yet. maybe in a couple hours. later tonight. BUT I did want to say I see a lot of yarn pix on here (love that! the more the merrier!!!!) but I've noticed that some people have a lot of trouble with color/lighting, etc.
I've recently put together a very inexpensive light tent to combat just that problem. Works like a charm! =0)  So any and all questions can be directed my way.
Or if enough of you are interested, I can post in a new thread so we can do it that way. And show our results. sound interesting?

Okay here's my first one for the week

My first dye job with wiltons food colors and spun on my drop spindle
No name as of yet



And here's my first try and hand carding blended fibers. Its mill ends with purple sari silk.
80 yds
worsted weight
spun on my wheel
I call this one "Purple Tangles"

Got another one. This is... super thin. I want to say sock weight-ish. Im so excited to have spun this thin!

I think Im going to leave it as a single despite it being so thin because I really dont want to lose the yardage. If I ply it, it'll have to be with something else.
