I've never been so uninspired for an assignment before! My art teacher just assigned my latest drawing project: he wants us to take something "abject", that is usally viewed as disgusting or ugly, and make it look accepted or beautiful. We're using frotage (this technique where you transfer xerox copies onto drawing paper using laquer thinner) and drawing on top of it with prismacolor. The finished prodcut will be in kind of an abstract-y environment. Does anyone have any ideas for something "abject" I could draw? So lost. ANY and ALL help is appreciated. THANK YOU!

hey.... im not too sure if this is mean or anything but the first thing which came to me on reading your post was people like the butterfly children. the poor sufferers in the world with the condition i cant spell (EB). we were doing about them and watched a program about them as our year is raising money for DEBRA, the charity.
the people are seen by many as ugly and unpleasent to look at but i think that when you look beneath that and are able to see how strong they are at such young ages and stuff... i dont know sorry!

i want to walk in the snow and not leave a footprint

No no that is hugely helpful and a great idea! I'll have to do a little research on it but that could be really cool. Thanks so much!
