I've decided for my next painting project I am going to use my art projector to project stencils of some Western film actors up onto some canvas and paint 'em.

Two decisions:
Do I go with three Western icons (I was thinking Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Lee Marvin, or James Garner), or with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly?

While we are at it, anybody happen to have any stencils of these guys kicking around? Cheesy
I have lost access to Photoshop for now and so have been trying to do it with that program called The Gimp (to make the stencils) but have been having no luck.

Thanks,
Dave

Well, so you really want to use Clint Eastwood, eh?  (The Good...)

What about going really old school?  When I think of Westerns, John Wayne is NOT the first person who comes to mind, and frankly, neither is Clint Eastwood.  (John Wayne makes me think of war movies.)  My husband, who is a Western fan, explains to me, "Clint Eastwood is the quintessential spaghetti western actor, but that is quite different than a real Western."  What about Roy Rogers, Earnest Borgnine, Henry Fonda, Gary Cooper...  Heck, even Ronald Reagan.

And besides, if you had both John Wayne and Lee Marvin up there, eventually Wayne would shoot Marvin and then where would you be?

[little Western movie joke...from my favorite Western movie...]
