so i've been knitting gifts for the men in my life.

I made these socks for my dad's birthday.  this is the second pair of socks i've knitted.  they're wool so they should be warm.  i can feel the knots in them but i have really sensitive feet; i'm constantly aware of the status of my feet.  hopefully he won't be so strange.

and this is a hat for my fianc.  i'm not totally sure i like the way i did the stripes but i'll see how he likes it before i do anything drastic.  i made him a scarf a few years ago and i used needles that were WAY too small so it's stiff and scratchy but he swears he likes it and he's never let me fix it, so maybe he'll like this hat the way it is too.  i'll be seeing him this weekend so i'll give it to him then.  (we've got a long-distance thing goin on... it sucks)
