US Journal Ring Round 1

Sadly, my journal didn't arrive today.  Let's hope I have better luck tomorrow!

I got my journal in the mail about an hour ago, and I'm amazed and thrilled by what you all have made.  Thank you so much for all the work you put into my journal!     Here are the pictures.  I hope I have all the attributions correct.

First, the front cover.  I wrote a bit about how I made it here.


I also deocrated the inside front cover and first page:


Then the first layout, by Goatgoddess.  This is mindblowing.  There are so many layers and colors and it's so shiny -- I love it!  I couldn't get a picture that didn't have a glare. 


Next, Kasea's Little Price layout.  Who doesn't love the little prince?  My theme for this journal was letters & numbers, like everyone else, but I wrote a letter to everyone about change and how this is a change-filled (and stress-filled) year for me.   The Baobab is perfect for this.


Then comes Amarylisroze's layout.  I like how calm and ordered it is, and the bird's nests are really lovely.  And it's shiny too!  The diamonds are embossed.  I have a memory of AR posting an ATC with embossed diamonds, and writing that she was practicing for something -- was this it?  It's awesome!


AR is followed by Rackycoo.  Her layout is about play.  the first layer is the stock market report from a newspaper -- it totally cracks me up that all these kids' games are on top of the stock report!    I love all the layers and pattens here.  It's really fun.


And last, but so not least, is Stifflersmom's layout.  I love the contrast between the start black-and-white diamonds, and the organic green growing things, with multiplication in between.  It rocks.

Have you seen that (I think) Windows commmercial where people are caught in amaying moments and just say WOW! ? That was me, looking through these photos! Stifflersmom is so lucky to have received a book with such beautiful artwork - each one is amazing and unique!
Goatgoddess, I'd love to know how you created that spread! Gorgeous!

Officially de-lurking to say that, as a participant in the US Journal Ring Round 2, I'm suddenly feeling rather inadequate   You lot have been doing some absolutely gorgeous and awe-inspiring work!
