Hello!
I'm Jess. I've been sewing for a few years now but I taught myself and I don't seem to be getting any better, but that may be because I'm (overly)ambitious. Anyways, I decided to try something a little simpler, so I made pillows! For some strange reason, my first ones are much prettier than my later ones...
Patchwork scrap pillow

Weird purpley satin with a lace heart. I found the satin on the road one day while I was out for a run. It's all stained up and nasty but it's good for practice and it was free

Simple felt bird covered in cat hair hahaha

Half muslin, half breast cancer scarf we get every year at the walk in Philadelphia. I've been trying to think of something to do with them all. We've been going for years, before and after my aunt died.

Carrot! This was practice for a strawberry pillow that I've yet to make. The top is felt. It didn't turn out much like I'd wanted but I still like it.

Ugly patchwork pillow. This one's on my floor instead of my bed.

A work-in-progess I'm not sure about. It's supposed to be a fishbowl with a cutout fish but it looks funky - even more so because I haven't finished stuffing or sewing it up.

A gratuitous shot of my kitty's new nap place. We can never get to our gloves or scarves anymore but he's an old man so we let him be.

Sorry about the terrible pictures. I wanted them to have a pretty white background like some people on here have but it didn't quite work out

Any tips? on the photo-taking, the pillow-making, or the sewing?
Thanks for looking!
