"Hawkeye" Unisex Adult Cadet Hat --My favorite hat ever :)

I never thought I'd find it, the perfect hat!  After many tries and tweeks here is Hawkeye.  I am totally in love with it, and it seems to look good on anyone; I'm thrilled!  I need to make myself a summer version, ASAP!


My hat (above) is the Medium size, knit with Cestari 2-Ply Wool in "Blackberry."  I love the tweediness of this yarn.  It's a very natural yarn which supposedly still contains the natural lanolin oils in the wool.  It's a little rough and stiff feeling, compared to other wools I've used (plus there are still bits of hay in it), but a wash in Kookaburra softened it up some!  I still love the color and my hat looks great so it outweighs any gripes about the yarn

Here is my husband wearing the Large size, it's knit with Cascade 220 superwash (Love this yarn) and it's very soft but a little less structured than the Cestari version.  I think it looks fantastic on him

Hehe, thanks!  My hair color seems to change quite often, but I always seem to go back to blonde!

I got this pattern last night, cast on this morning and have 4 more decrease rows and the crown is fini
