Hello and greetings from sunny Copenhagen,

I managed to finally get something knitted done. Yesterday I finished La Scala, a pattern by Hanne Falkenberg. The yarn is great and the pattern is amazing. Thumbs up  Wink

My head is missing because I looked very tired yesterday...and I'm holding my stomach to keep the scarf in place...who said vanity?

That's really cool. I love the colours. It almost looks woven and not knit at all.

Good job!

ooh that pattern is really neat and looks terribly complicated. Was it hard?

I've dreamed of knitting this pattern for a long time but was afraid it would be too complicated to be worth the investment.

Yours is beautiful--thanks for the inspiration.

Wow, that is beautiful.  I second the previous question... how hard was that?

Thank you very much for your nice commets, it makes it all worth while Smiley

To answer your questions:

Yarn:
I used the type that came with the kit, it's called No. 2 Shetland (100 % wool) and is from Falkenberg Design.

Was it hard:
Yes and no. The pattern itself wasn't difficult at all, but it took me a long time to finish (almost 6 months) because it was hard on my wrists, I don't know why, but I think it had something to do with the "woven" technique. But don't be scared, it really looks more complicated than it is  Smiley

Beautiful! Is it a mosaic stitch pattern?

I just googled it, and I guess that is what it's called in English Wink In Danish it's called "vvestrik" directly translated it would be something like woven knitting. I didn't know you could do so much with the mosaic stitch pattern...thank you very much for leading me on the way Smiley
