i was asked to make clothes for the school fashion show (it was last night) a few weeks ago but didn't get started until spring break last week. the budget was $50 but i only spent about $40. i made each without knowing who the models would be but most of them fit nicely. the dresses took about 2 hours each. nothing spectacular but i think they turned out pretty well. unfortunately there wasn't enough time to think about accessories. well here they are:

this one was made in april for junior prom but i just threw it in the show anyways.

maroon dress with 2 braided straps wrapped around

this one was one of my favorites and my first time making a dress w/ full back coverage.

this was actually a reconstruction of 2 skirts with an apple print. the model was a lot smaller than i had expected.

my least favorite of the group. i added covered buttons to the front after taking the pictures. the fabric looks a bit weird in this picture

this was a crowd favorite. a super poofy dress. it was a little small in the bust so you can see the zipper starting to show in the back.

and finally a group shot before going on stage. i'm on the far right i made my shirt too =)

thanks for looking! questions and comments are welcome  Cheesy

These are all so gorgeous.  I don't think that I could pick a favorite, even if you made me!  You really have done an incredible job, and congrats on the fashion show.  I can't believe that you whipped these up that fast too!  I need lessons!   Grin

thanks guys!!! i actually didnt think i'd be able to pull it all off in such a short amount of time. most of my time was spent trying to get my sewing machine to work (it spazzes when i use it too much  Undecided). if i were to do it again with more time i'd probably try some different styles (more high fashionish). but with so little time and such a small budget i just played it safe and made things i knew that i would be comfortable sewing and that would look decent. i'm just glad it all worked out!
