Go on, laugh at me, please

Well today I stumbled upon a lovely wool shop here in Wonderful Wonderful Copenhagen and got lots of nice Filati stuff in the sale, namely 3 huge balls of laceweight for 70 kr (£6.40) each. Great! Until of course I try and find an end to start winding it into balls, and after about 10 seconds of not being able to find it, I take the ball band off. One of life's lessons that I seem incabable of learning is to NEVER TAKE THE BALL BAND OFF REALY FINE WOOL BEFORE YOU FIND THE END. I have done this countless times before and made a tangled mess of things, only this time it errupted into a huge mound of wooly vermicelli noodles!!! The consequence of this is having wound 4 miniscule balls (about 3cm in diamenter) in about as many hours. Only 1200 odd meters to go!!!



I only hope that my recurring stupidity makes someone else feel better.............

LOL that definitely looks like something I've had to deal with before!

I put 3-4 projects in one bag, and when I tried to take one out, I came up with a huge tangly colorful mess. 

Don't worry, it IS untanglable, it'll just thake a while.

May I ask what sort of special yarn has 4 ends?

Yes, I have done the same thing.... And I did spend a whole friday night and all day saturday to untangle it.  I felt like such a loser.  I think I ended up with 6 different balls, haha

i did the same thing with wool
but it wasnt thin!

lol, been there done that.  I know that you think that your going to be all grey and old by the time you untangle all that.  trust me your get it.
