I HATE ZIPPERS aekjdfh#$6e

So I decided that I was going to make a zip-up vest out of an old ugly pullover hoodie, and I have everything cut, sewed (by hand, no less), and pinned, and what do I discover?

That I bought the wrong kind of zipper.  After twenty minutes of sticking pins into my fingers trying to pin it where it should be (this is my first zipper attempt, too), I discovered that instead of the zipper that...unzips...it's one of the ones that stays attatched to the bottom.  And I have no way to get to a craft store for a while.

I think I'm gonna give it a go anyways and hope nobody notices, but I am SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!  AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.  stupidstupidstupid

I wouldn't worry about it, zippers are an unnatural thing, not for the faint of heart.  I avoid them at all costs.   

I say, bring back buttons!

im making my first dress from scratch this week and i plan on installing my first zipper so wish me luck lol

oh, yes, zippers... I did my first zipper in a skirt in spring, and this one went surprisingly well. But at the second skirt with zipper, I unintentionally bought an invisible zipper and put it the wrong side in, so the little thing with which you pull up the zipper is inside the skirt... ok, nobody will notice... BUT on the THIRD skirt it happend AGAIN, I was so mad, that I tried to rip the zipper out, ripped into the fabric... but I managed to fix it all and finally the skirt is "ok" (but no entry for the thread of technical beauties...)

I've been finishing 5 little girl dresses this week and lo and behold both of my zipper feet are MIA so I had to force the damn thing through a regular foot with alot of cursing.
