the first ever clothes made with my new serger.

this is the first top i made, and i discovered that i can't really hem on the serger, so the rest are all finished with bands. the skirt is a veeery tight pencil, made from tweed so, thank goodness, it has a bit of give, but still i can't really sit down very well! very slimming though Wink
next try at the kimono style

i'm so lucky, i'm a school drama technician, and there are lots of rolls of jersey, which i'll never use for costumes, so i can use it for meeee Grin
this one is my least favourite, the fabric is really lycra-y and it clings too much, i like the pocket though.

this is my favourite, and i must make more!!

this last one is a bit of a pain, the sleeves fall down.

the top i copied is exactly the same cut, but i forgot that i always wrap the little ribbon loops (for holding it on the hanger) around my bra straps, so i guess i need to make loops  Wink
wow, i made a lot? but i think i see a trend, anyone who gets a serger seems to go mad making loads of tops they couldn't make before, now i just need to go back to work and get more supplies!
let me know what you think? be nice!!
and as long as you don't mind how long it takes me, (and don't want the blue one!) i could probably try and do tutorials.

Oooh, I especially love the first two kimono-ish ones and the kangaroo pocketed one!  But really they are all amazing, great job!  You are super lucky to have a source of cool jersey, and a new serger.  Have fun  Cheesy
