I LOVE this machine but just got it and don't have a correct book for it.  Does anyone know how to lower the feed dogs for free form stitching?   Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know how to lower the feed dogs but you can order a copy of the manual from this site: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Singer_Manuals/513_Instruction_Manual.htm

Oh thanks for checking that out.  I was hoping it would be simpler than that.  I am going to order the manual...I just don't want to wait for the information if anyone has it readily.  Again THANKS!!!  Smiley

Some of the singer machines dont let you lower them - mine has a cover for the feed dogs.

I'll bet that is the case!   I can't find any way to do it so i'll have to look for a cover for it.  Thanks so much for letting me know that...it makes better sense!!!  Smiley
