okay everyone, i need your help! i am making a duvet cover and have done everything but putting some kind of closure on the 4th side. i bought some snap tape and even pinned it in place. but when i went to sew it, i realized the snaps themselves get in the way of the presser foot (the "tape" part is only about an inch wide). i thought about using my zipper foot, but it looks like they will still get in the way. what the heck am i supposed to do? please help, i'm so close to finishing, and totally stuck!

where are we going, and why am i in this handbasket?

your sipper foot should be able to adjust  if not I guess velcro is a good choice or a zipper.

Can you just hand sew it, or use stich witchery or something?

oh me of little faith! my zipper foot ended up working fine. it's not adjustable, but i hadn't realized that the side meant to go over the zipper teeth is a little bit raised. the parts of the snap i thought were going to interfere slipped right under it! if you're interested, you can see the finished project here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=17107.0 . thanks for your help! i'm so happy with my "new" bedroom!
