I bought this for $5 off Craigslist like 3 months ago to redo for my nephew but my sister bought him a brand new one so I decided to make it for my little sister instead. I am going to give it to her for her first birthday in June.  Between being sick and the rain I haven't had time to do it but I finally finished it!!  Her name is Layne (Laney) and everyone calls her Layne Bug hence the lady bug...

It was much more faded than the pic suggests and it was really dirty

The seat is naugahyde (sp?)

This is the "beaded curtain" on the back I made with straws and ladybug beads

Thanks! I hope she does.. she has so much lady bug stuff that I am afraid she is going to hate them by the time she knows what they are!!
I used Krylon spray paint for plastics for the base and acrylic for the spots/details. Also.. forgot to mention this before but all the black spots are painted over with acrylic glitter paint.

WOW! what a good idea you had! She's gonna LUV this!

It looks so nice, good job! I love the beaded curtain, but I wonder what it would be like with some kind of antennae?

That is fantastic!  You've done a great job.  And how wonderfully creative to come up with the idea in the first place!
