I have been trying to think of something I could make and possibly sell and I love all of the wonderful outfits everyone has posted sooo I decided to make a prototype onesie kilt for my friend's 3 month old, Lincoln. My friend is more into cool than cutesy, so this seemed to work out! (Although it is cute!!) He's a bit of a chub right now, so he looks better in overalls and kilts than stretchy pants!!! I sewed the back pleats and the front skirt to the onesie and then the front apron part Velcro attaches. The buckles don't really buckle-they're sewn onto velvet ribbon fabric. Of course, my sewing machine decided to act up in the middle of sewing, so the tension was %#@*! But I'm starting on another one in green and saffron for my new little Irish nephew. I'll use more seam binding,etc... for the next, but my friend-and Lincoln -love this one. Please excuse the cheap camera pictures, but I really wanted to post  Grin

I spent a lot of time researching kilts-there are some incredible sites-men in kilts are sooooo hot!!(fans herself). There's even a site for G.I. Joe doll kilts!!!!

We thought of painting his face, but he's got that soft delicate baby skin and I'd feel guilty...Maybe I'll have my daughter photoshop it-I'm a computer idjit! Grin
