I am being offered an Ashford (Kiwi?) wheel, a Jumbo flyer, a Kate, and a Kromski nostepinne "in excellent condition" for $325.  I have only ever used a drop spindle, and don't really know anything at all about spinning wheels.    Can anyone help me out?

Those retail for about $530 new, so that is quite a deal!

wheels are far easier than drop spindles.  I doubt you will have much of a problem with the transition.  plus its a steal!  good for you!

I have an Ashford Kiwi... I used drop spindles for a month or two, then got the wheel. It was soooo easy to learn on and my yarn improved almost immediately. I'd definitely recommend it as a first wheel, and the accessories will be great!

I doubt you need any more convincing, but I'll chime in and agree with all those saying, "Do it!"

Have fun with your fabulous new wheel!

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!  Cute wheel, and the price sounds decent if it is lacquered/finished.  I believe they retail for $290 unfinished and $380 finished.
