I wanted to make a little something for my best friend who loves Cat Power, so I looked around and thought "Why not do the album cover for The Greatest?" So, here it is, but I wouldn't mind some helpful criticism. My boyfriend says she will probably recognize the boxing gloves since she's familiar with the album, but is there anything else I can do to make this look better? Sorry for the crappy cameraphone picture...

And for reference (in case you don't listen to Cat Power), here's the original album:

Thanks in advance for any help!   Wink

I *love* Miss Chan Marshall, she is one of my favorites.   Cheesy  I think it looks good, but if it was me I would be inclined to add a bit o color.  Maybe work with the album cover's colors, adding some hot pink accent to the bold lettering and a little gold to the boxing gloves.

I'd add a color wash to the background, like this:

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
