Hi Everyone,

Wanted to share these.  I have been working on them while I was waiting to get my swap items in the mail!  They are 2 tea towels both with Sublime designs one from the new book and the other from the Kurt Halsey patterns.

I have to say I am the most proud of the dragonfly I created using lazy daisy and finding a color that really reminds me of dandelion stems.  I want to thank floresita for the inspiration using the scallop stitch on the banner!  I had some trouble doing the bamboo stitch correctly and finally decided I like doing it better the wrong way (backstitching the longstitch) but I'm glad I finally got to use all of them!

I don't know if anyone else uses them but my secret weapon when it comes to tracing are overhead transparencies (it's how I worked out the banner).  I make the design on one of them and it allows for alot of accuracy and flexibility when you are tracing and I find it protects the tracing paper when I am ready to put it on to the fabric.

Enjoy,
rec'

Oooh, the lanterns are just so cute.  I've been thinking of using them for something and now I really want to lol.  What store did you get the yellow tea towels from?

They came in a set of 3 from Winners/Homesense here in Canada.  The lanterns I used were the smallest ones that are blank in the middle.

floresita! I love your work it always puts a cool spin on things and makes me want to go the extra distance to make the regular transfer design a little more my own!
