I am a complete weather nut, and yesterday was quite an eventful day for weather. I live in North Dallas (Texas), which is a hot spot for tail ends of storms that usually carry tornadoes. Yesterday there were several tornado warnings around my area. In the midst of all the excitement I was inspired to make this pendant. It shows my complete fascination of tornadoes. I just find it amazing that it can pack more of a punch than a hurricane in the drop of a cloud. Anyways, back to the crafty part  Grin. Some may think the pendant is politically incorrect, but to ease some of your innocent minds  Wink, Joe & Jane Farmer were on vacation in Florida the day that tornado hit their sweet green country cottage.  Grin And they are millionaires.. so they don't have to worry about rebuilding..

Yes, the house is a Monopoly piece  Smiley

Looking down into the vortex..

The funnel inside can be taken out..

The funnel can also be displayed as a sister tornado..

So is it just me, or does this look like a tornado??  Grin

By the way, I completely understand the horror and devastation a tornado can cause to families. If I've offended anyone, I'm very sorry!

Update - Just thought I'd add this video I shot yesterday of these crazy storms here. Possibly a tornado! More likely straight line winds though  Undecided.

I really love this!  It looks like a little piece of art that should be in a gallery somewhere!

That's great!  I actually laughed when I scrolled down to the image.  Grin  I'm in Kansas and have spent a lot of time in basements and storm cellars avoiding these guys.  Luckily we didn't get any warning sirens last night.  Smiley
I like the details trapped in the chaotic swirls.
