I'm having a murder mystery party for my 15th b-day. Yay!

Well, I need to whip up a costume by the 20th of November. I'm going to check out the thrift stores in my area as soon as I can, but I want to know what to look for. The mystery takes place in 1807, so I need to look a bit victorian. Any advice will help!

**Please help me decorate, too... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16659.0

actually, 1807 is long before the victorian period.  you'll want something more empire-styled.  like this:

this is one of the pieces i have for sale, if you're interested.  also, check out some websites dealing with historical fashion.  you can do a google search and you're bound to some up with something.
