this is my entry.. If I had seen the challenge earlier i wouldve also done the same banners with FAITH and LOVE since that is a tattoo on my wish list. (based off of a close Aunt, who recently passed away, favorite bible verse)
for now, HOPE is what I've made.. I hope you enjoy it. The whole thing came from my head, including the font.

I really like your stencil. It's very tattoo like. And it looks like it came out perfect! How did you paint it so the color on the letters faded in like that? Very cool. The nautical stars are a nice touch too.

thank you!:) I left the stencil on, and waited until the light blue layer had dried a bit, then went back with a small brush and did the gold, starting at one edge and sweeping up to mimic how a tattoo artist might fade from black to skin.

and next time i think i may use 2 more contrasting colors for the stars because it seems like from far away the colors blend into one.
