Being a beginner, my knitting abilities just include scarves at the moment. I made this as a gift. Since the current weather in my town is HOT, I wanted to do a lightweight scarf. Not a fan of the color combo, but I hope the gift recipient likes it. I got the idea here: http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/ki-ribbonScarf.html?noImages=0.

Cute! I think the colors are very spring-like. When I was a beginner I hated scarves, they are so long and boring! A hat isn't much harder, and is a quick knit with a few decreases to keep it interesting.

Anyway, your scarf looks great, I can't wait to see what else you can do.
