Anyone up for a knitalong for the Lana Grossa lace cardigan? The pattern is free, here. http://www.lanagrossa.com/service/mdm/04_2006/index.html

I fell in love with it after seeing it in a solid color, here.

I'm making it in elann's sonata. My gauge is a little bigger, but I'm a little (ha) bigger than the model, so I'm thinking I can make it work. This will be my first sweater, but I've done lace before.

This was my first sweater and my first lace! The pattern was a little foggy when it came to the "upper body" part of each piece (I think... but it's been a year!), and I wasn't too fond of the arm pattern, so I extended the diamonds to the arms and changed the shape. It's functional and stylish, and it fits my mum perfectly (I obviously wasn't advanced enough in knitting to figure out gauge). I also used elann sonata, but still haven't taken a modeled pic. Here's a "grass is always greener" pic:

This was before the crab stitch (which was fun after some hook haggling) and the single mother of pearl button.

Hope you have as much fun knitting this as I did!
