I just finished this bag using the Saturday Market Bag pattern from Magknits and changes by blogger disdressed. It's great for summer because it stretches a lot so you can carry all the things you need for the beach or for a picnic.
I used size 15 Lips sealed and size 10.5 needles and Bernat Handicrafter cotton yarn.

I posted a lot more info on my blog here http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/04/24/summer-knitting/

Neat! I bet the people in San Fran could really use something like that since they banned plastic shopping bags.

I've heard about some stores doing that to encourage people to recycle their grocery bags. It's a great idea!

This is a really cute bag!  I printed the pattern and the changes, I like the changes better than the original.

Cute - that is definitely next on my list - I am so sick of plastic bags taking over my house!!

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Haha, I noticed when I was writing my blog post that I was wearing a shirt almost the same as hers.
