I was recently asked by a lady from work to make matching dresses for her granddaughters. Here's the final outcome, I think they turned out cute... sorry for the bad lighting in the pics. There's an S on the larger one for Samantha and the baby's had a C but I must not have had it pulled tight enough when embroidering (by machine) because it wrinkled a bit so I covered it with a cute pocket. The bigger one has a matching hairbow but the baby has no hair yet! Sorry for the run on sentence!

Country girls!
The next is for my friends daughter who is a huge strawberry shortcake fan. It has a matching hairbow too with it(you can see it along the neckline)

I have 3 boys so I make things for all the little girls I know. Thanks goodness my best friend has 2 little girls!

I especially love the strawberry shortcake dress. Is that made from a pattern?

I just resized a smaller pattern I had and made it reversible after quite a bit of trial and error because the original was not reversible. There's no buttons or zippers, it just slips over the head. That's what made it such a pain, you have to kind of pull the dress through the shoulders. Never mind, to confusing to explain, I'm horrible at giving and following directions.I doubt she'll wear the pretty pink sparkly side though because she's such a strawberry shortcake fan. Isn't it great to see 80's toys back in!?

I love the PINK John Deere fabric. I know what you mean about wanting to sew for little girls!
