I'm a college student and I'll tell you, I've furnished most of my apartment with treasures I've found dumpster diving (is there a PC term for that? I kind of like Dumpster Diving...) A while back I hit the jackpot with a dresser...the drawers had ball barings and everything.

First a little background...I made this little number last year:

and wanted a dresser to match, but not be too matchy.I LOVE my little two drawer, but this, I haven't decided whether I like it or not. A friend did the design, and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. What do you guys think?

Thanks for looking!

I like it, but all the white space make it look unfinished.  I think if you added some other pattern to the what space it'd be great and go great with your other piece. Smiley

That's what I'm thinking too...You also probably noticed I didn't finish outlining the top portion. It's finals week, though, and I can only procrastinate so much. Cheesy

I like them both; they are very cool!  I really want to learn to draw so I can do neat stuff like that.  They look so modern and abstract.

I like them they way they are, but that little bit of white "sky" on the maybe dresser could be filled in with something.  I like how you did just a few squares with color.

i love dumpster diving too, but for awhile i lived with dumpster-aholics. we'd end up with so much stuff at our house that was never used like broken VHS cameras, boxs full of expired wheetbix bars and ugly heavy furniture with stuck draws. lots of cool stuff too. i love my sooty and sweep rice paper lampshade.

Whats your best find?

had some friends who were dumpstering for food not bombs but got arrested   Tongue
