you can arrange to do a personal swap with anyone you want - but do it smart.

Don't enter into a personal swap with anyone you don't already feel as though you know
Check their organized swapping record.
Set your own criteria for who you will and won't swap with

Is there a list somewhere of people who flake on personal swaps?!?! That would be super helpful when someone approaches you in for a personal swap!

there isnt a list of personal swap flakers Sad and the mods really dont like it when people drop names of personal swap flakers......

Thanks for the reminder, kishcrafts. Personal swaps are not monitored or moderated in any way, and we do ask that names are not mentioned in the threads.

I have gone back and deleted and/or modified posts on this thread calling out a name of a certain swapper who flaked on several people. Please take care when you agree to a personal swap, and remember that there is always risk involved.

Thanks, everyone.  Smiley

That tatted bracelet is so beautiful.  I just recently tried my hand at tatting with much frustrations.  I'm afraid it is not a craft for me.
Did you do needle tatting or shuttle tatting? In the shop the swap round 5 I have a DIY kit, and it includes a CD with my step by step pics of finger tatting. PM me and maybe I can help you.

Wow, beautiful tatting! I wish I could tat...
LOL, you might try the DIY tatting kit, too!

For the personal swap I did with Sewknitter she made me a knit hermit crab like the one she made in her ocean friends swap! It is absolutely amazing, so well done and so cute.

I love him so much! He's hanging out next to our 2 live hermit crabs Smiley Thank you!

Oh, don't remind me of that swap! My second swap ever, I angeled for that and then my partner totally flaked! Esmerelda jumped in and angeled for me. Too many flakers!

I'm glad you like "hermie" I had him/her in my studio. I miss hermie already!  This time I wrote down how I knit hermie. One day I'll put a tute up. (Not before the spring, LOL)

I am still loving my purse, wallet, and zip case! AND I just found two matching magnets -- on my fridge -- Thank you again!

Sewknitter saw my post and came to the rescue when I was covered in knots of the yarn I dyed! Here is what she sent me....she saved the day for sure! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

She is also a master tatter and sent me this gorgeous bracelet with a magnetic clasp!! awesome!

xladyluckx, glad to help! And you kill yourself in organizing so was so happy to send the bracelet!

Is that a dino duct tape wallet on the bottom?  It's so cute!

Yep yep! I am sorry that I said who it was. It is in her profile not to swap with her  now. I have had personal swaps in the past that went good though. Just gotta be careful Smiley

Today I received a wonderful swap package from my friend Hyakuyenknitter.  The initial package she sent me got lost and she was kind enough to send me another even though she had a family emergency.  She really, really spoiled me.  I was thrilled beyond belief with her generosity.
Behold fabrics!  ACK!  I'm outta my mind already from all this wonderful fabric, but she sent me even more goodies.

Awesome craft books.  I totally can't wait to try these.  I love felties and I love beading and I love Hello Kitty so these are perfect.
A HK pen!  (My little one wants this.  It's mine!)
HK patch
Little couple wall hanging
HK ribbon
Kerokeropi patch
and some sweet stickers

Hyakuyenknitter, you really spoiled me.  Thank you so much for your kindness.  Smiley

This week I received an incredibly large amount of fabric from the fabulous Colorfuldays destined for my Mum's quilt. Grin

Just look at it all on my 3 seater, and most of these pieces are folded several times!

The artwork I sent just isn't on a par with this awesomeness, thank you Colorfuldays! Kiss

I just drooled on myself a little.  Have fun with your quilt =D
