After a much delibrated decision on my part, I've finally decided on the theme of the 4th crochet challenge. There was a split in the vote between food and fine art. I've finally decided and the winner issss....

Food inspired! Create anything inspired by food using any method of crochet. The object can be food related, to make the process of serving food easier, to eat (why would you want to...? weirdos!), or anything else your gigantic heart desires. The central item MUST be crocheted, but you can have accents in other materials (beads, craft felt, crayons?)

The format:

When posting your challenge entry, please post it under Crochet Challenge Entries. In the message body, post the title of your entry and clear pictures.

The Deadline:

The crafting period will last two weeks for this challenge. Enter now until May 6th at 11:59 pm EST in order to be considered for the challenge!

The Prizes (the best part!):

The winner of this challenge will recieve:

The wonderful Hawaiian Motif Handbag pattern from NexStitch.com.

AND

A bar of Geranium Rosemary soap, a tube of citrus lip balm, and a sample soap in your choice of scent (see below) from Fuzzybunny.Etsy.com! It smells fantastic (I ordered similar soap a few months ago - a bit strong, but fantastic after a nice cleansing shower!)

Sample soap scents - winner picks one:

Geranium Rosemary
Tangerine
Citrus
Citrus Chammomile
Rosemary Mint

All prizes donated by the people mentioned. If you would like to donate a prize for the crochet challenge, please PM me.

Have fun!

Rules:

- Members do not need to have a certain post count or have been a member for so long to participate. Everyone is welcome!
- All items must be handmade by the poster.
- The central item must be crocheted.
- Only one entry per poster, though you may incorporate multiple things into your one entry (such as with a set)
- Items can be as big or as small as you want, unless otherwise stated in the theme.
- You must use the theme provided.
- If using a pattern that is not your own, please alter the pattern at least 25% in order to maintain creativity in challenge entries (that does not mean changing the color!)
- this is an important one: Make sure all pictures are visible through the time of voting. During voting, I will be posting the actual picture int he voting slot, so make sure people can view them! Craftster offers reliable picture hosting to registered members and also incorporates photobucket software into the code to make photobucket accounts easier to use. Take advantage of these features!

The Themes:

All themes are suggested and voted on by Craftster members. To suggest a theme to be considered in the next crochet challenge, see this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=132209.0

Yay! Food. Hmmm. I have an idea (it would be a set of items), but not sure I'll have time to finish it by May 6. I'll see if I can carve out a day or two somewhere. Wink

Nilla, I hope your novella papers came out alright/on time. Cheesy

Edit: Oh yeah! Nice prizes!!!

I'm glad this is what you picked.  Nothing against art mind you, its just that would have required a little more thought.

I can't wait to see what you all will come up with.  I know its gonna be great.

Fantastic prizes too.

Can you enter multiple objects, or is there a maximum of one entry per person?
