These are some of the character sketches I've done to plan for the Alice in Wonderland illustrations I've been working on. Enjoy!

Alice; india ink:


The Cheshire Cat; india ink - The design on the right is the one I went with:


The Mad Hatter; pencil - Turned out as a sort of Joker meets Gene Wilder look, but I like him Smiley


The Queen of Hearts; pencil - This design still needs work... She needs a more off-the-wall-crazy expression, and I'm going to rework her underskirt. But, I like the rest of her dress design Smiley

I really do love that Hatter... but I'm having a hell of a time with the March Hare, so I can't do the Mad Tea Party scene till I get him and the Dormouse worked out. Sad
