The last week of May, I'll be going to what my dad refers to as "a suburb of Oslo."  I don't know the name of the town, but obviously it's near Oslo.

Are there any interesting knitting/fiber shops/places in/around Oslo?  er.. places besides Dale of Norway?  (I see Dalegarn is sold in a ton of shops in Norway)

My best friend lives in Oslo (she married a norwegian, then moved there! *pout*), I'll have to send her an email and ask.

And I thought I was the only one that wanted to visit Norway.
I've been interested in Scandinavian countries for a long time, but never had the opportunity to go.  But now, my dad is going for a business trip and it's right after I graduate, so it's perfect.
I'm excited about having time to explore on my own.

thanks for the information!  I'll definitely try to stop off at Husfliden.  It sounds really interesting.

Umm... no? Depends on where you are, of course, but, no there are no polar bears in the streets.

Sadly not Sad

I don't know what it's like in other cities, but where I live we don't have stores purely for yarn and knitting - every thing craft-related is usually in one store, however, there are stores that focuses merely on sewing and fabric.
