I have been knitting for 7 years now. I learned to crochet at the start of January. Since then I have been obsessed with it. It is very different from knitting and I really enjoy being able to do both. One thing that bothered me was stitch markers. I love using stitch markers in my knitting but in crochet the only stitch marker I could make use of. I decided to make a stitch marker that would work well with crochet and knitting. I saw a tutorial for it somewhere online but they were advertised as being for knitting. I think they work well for crochet because you can use them like you would with a safety pin, but they are cute and your work won't get snagged on them like it does with a safety pin.

Sorry if its too image heavy- I just got a new camera yesterday and I am going a little overboard!

OMG!!!  These are brilliant!!  I hate using stitch markers because most of mine are so clumsy or slippery.  This is a great idea and I love what you used for them.  Great job!!!

That's a great idea to use a lobster claw.  I make mine like an earring, with a little loop at the end of the eyepin.  I like your idea better!
