DORMANT: Daisy Square-along

I'm in!! Are you guys still working on yours?? I'm hoping to finish a blanket before Christmas (and offcourse I'm not working on just ONE project, hehe).. Maybe I'll give it to my sister or my mum. Just maybe, because I love the pattern so much that I might want to keep it myself.

I think these squares are the prettiest I have ever seen!

I'm doing the blanket with beige background. Have made two squares, so.. I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me. I didn't bother making them exactly 8 inches, either.. They are smaller, but I like them like that. I'm pretty curious of how many I need for a blanket though...

I got kinda frustrated with mine. I guess I used too many different colors with no real pattern. I was trying to use it as a stashbuster in the tradition of ripples and granny squares, but it didn't work as well. I'm working on a baby blanket ripple right now, but I'm going to start over with this one after that. I'm thinking that I'll make throw pillows out of my current squares and buy a bunch of black to unify all my bright colors.
I still love the pattern, though!

Well, it is hard to make a "pattern" out of the colours..!! I think I know how to put my blanket together, but I'm not sure... Here is what I got so far. I think it is SO much fun, and since I'm on my summervacation I really crochet a lot.. :p It's going to be a christmaspresent/birthdaypresent for my twinsister.





As you can see (?) I'm using a 3,5 hook. My squares are not as big as they are supposed to be. I think I need at least 40 of them. But if I enjoy the last 30 as much as these first 10, that won't be a problem.

A picture of my work in progress... It takes time, but it's fun. I don't know how manye squares I'll end up with, I have 29 now.



I keep them in a nice box.


And I have sewed in the ends allready.. Good girl.

Aran weight is equivalent to US WW, DK is something like sportweight - hope that helps you  I've made squares for US charity blankets using 2 strands of DK, it makes it equivalent to our Chunky which is slightly thicker than our Aran  but nobody has complained

aphelia - your squares are really coming along! I love your color scheme, especially the alternating dark and light flowers in the same colors. Sigh, I am going to get back to this someday!

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the pattern that you could send me? Due to computer issues, I only have my printed copy left, and I still get requests for the pattern from time to time. Plus, I would really like to have an updated version, since mine was one of the oldest versions.
